Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: April 24, 2026

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for HillWebWorks services.HillWebWorks offers two primary service models — project-based (one-time payments for website builds or individual deliverables) and subscription-based (recurring monthly plans for website management, hosting, and ongoing support). Please read the section that applies to your engagement.

1. Project-Based Services (One-Time Payments)

General Policy

All project-based payments are non-refundable once work has commenced. Each payment covers the time, resources, and expertise invested in your project.

New Client Exception (3-Day Window)

If you are a new client and work has not yet begun, you may request a full refund within 3 business days of your first payment.

To qualify for this exception all of the following must be true:

  • Your request is made within 3 business days of your first charge.
  • No onboarding work has been started — this includes intake calls, discovery sessions, design work, wireframes, or any deliverable.
  • You email hillwebworks@gmail.com with your cancellation request.

This is a one-time exception for new clients only.

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Work already in progress or completed.
  • Payments made more than 3 business days before the cancellation request.
  • Milestone payments where the corresponding milestone has been delivered.
  • Requests to change scope, direction, or strategy mid-project.

2. Subscription Services (Recurring Monthly Plans)

Subscription Billing

HillWebWorks subscription plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis (or as specified in your plan). Each charge covers the upcoming billing period. Your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel.

How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us at: hillwebworks@gmail.com

Please include your name, business name, and the email address associated with your account. Cancellation requests are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

When Cancellation Takes Effect

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid billing period. After that:

  • No further charges will be made.
  • Your website will remain live until the end of your current billing period.
  • After that, website hosting and active management will be discontinued.
  • HillWebWorks does provide downloadable website files and does transfer websites to other hosts upon request — additional fees may apply for transfer assistance.
  • Continued access to the website through HillWebWorks management requires an active subscription.

Refund Policy for Subscriptions

General Policy: Subscription charges are non-refundable. Each payment covers the service period for which it was charged.

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Prior billing periods already served.
  • Partial or unused portions of a current billing period.
  • Subscription downgrades or plan changes mid-period.

If you are unsatisfied with our services, we encourage you to contact us first so we can work to resolve your concerns before cancellation.

3. New Subscriber Exception (Subscriptions)

If you are a new subscriber and onboarding has not yet begun, you may request a cancellation and full refund of your first subscription payment within 3 business days of your first charge.

To qualify:

  • Your request must be made within 3 business days of your first charge.
  • No onboarding work (intake calls, design work, content gathering, etc.) has been started.
  • You must email hillwebworks@gmail.com with your cancellation request.

This is a one-time exception for new subscribers only.

4. Pausing Your Subscription

If you need to pause your subscription, contact us at hillwebworks@gmail.com to discuss options. Pause availability depends on your plan and is subject toHillWebWorks's discretion.

5. Failed Payments

If a subscription payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. Continued payment failures may result in service suspension. Please keep your payment information up to date to avoid interruption.

6. Exceptions Required by Law

If applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require different refund terms, those laws will apply. Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund under local regulations.
